A PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or Vampire Facial combines microneedling with concentrated platelets from your blood. Microneedling creates microchannels while PRP delivers growth factors that accelerate collagen production, improve texture, reduce fine lines, and promote overall skin rejuvenation over several weeks.
PRP and PRF both use your platelets, but PRF is a fibrin-rich formula released more slowly, offering prolonged growth-factor delivery. PRP provides a faster release. Your clinician will recommend one based on desired downtime, treatment area, and healing response.
Most patients experience mild discomfort rather than significant pain. We apply topical numbing before microneedling to minimize sensations. Brief sensitivity and tingling are common during and immediately after the procedure; pain subsides quickly and is manageable for nearly all clients.
Expect gradual improvement: skin texture, firmness, and radiance increase over 4–12 weeks as collagen forms. Mild redness, swelling, and pinpoint bleeding may occur for 24–72 hours. Most clients resume normal activities within one to three days, avoiding heavy exercise briefly.
Typically a series of 3 treatments spaced four to six weeks apart yields optimal collagen induction. Maintenance sessions once or twice yearly help sustain results. Your provider will tailor frequency based on skin condition, age, and treatment response.
